Dry Skin

You have dry skin.

One of the many functions of the skin is the production of sebum, natural oil. Dry skin produces the least amount of sebum of all skin types. As a result, lipids needed to retain moisture are minimal. This causes the skin to appear dull, feel rough, and appear flaky. Dry skin can also feel tight, have fines lines, and appear dehydrated.

Recommended Care:

Follow a daily regimen that includes a mild and gentle, but hydrating cleaner, toner, and moisturizer. Moisturize the skin several times throughout the day if needed. Choose products that are clean, fragrant, and alcohol free. Avoid hot shower and using hot water when washing your face. Hot water will strip the skin of oil and cause more dryness. Drink 6-8 glasses of water a daily and incorporate skin healthy teas that promote the results you are seeking, ex. hydrates, fights aging, heals acne, or promotes glowing skin. Exfoliate no more than once a week or once every two weeks.
